In the first ten months of this year, Fujian Province exported 4.012 million tons of stone by general trade, an increase of 4.9%, accounting for 94.7% of the total amount of stone exports in Fujian Province in the same period. Many constraints on industry development are worthy of attention: First, the external market is sluggish and the industry outlook is uncertain. Since the beginning of this year, European and American countries have been in deep debt crisis, and economic development has been stagnant, directly impacting my stone export trade. The EU is the main market for stone exports in Fujian Province. Since the crisis, the economy has continued to weaken and infrastructure construction has been slow. The data showed that the Eurozone economic sentiment index fell to 94.8 in October from 95 in September, which is the eighth consecutive month of decline in the index. In the US, sales of new homes in September were 313,000, an increase of 5.7% from the revised volume in August, but still 0.9% lower than the volume in September 2010. Second, the carbon footprint standard is a new constraint. In recent years, the trend of low-carbon economy has swept, and countries have introduced low-carbon laws or plans. More than 10 countries, including Germany, Britain, France, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, have developed a carbon labeling system that requires companies to provide carbon emissions throughout their life cycle. If the stone products are not labeled with “carbon labels” in the future, it may be difficult to enter the above national market. The carbon footprint standard may become a new trade barrier for developed countries' products for developing countries. Third, the industry lacks brand awareness. Although China is a big country in stone production, it is a small country. At present, there are tens of thousands of domestic stone enterprises, but there are very few companies with their own brands. There is no brand for stone products. For consumers without professional knowledge of stone, it is difficult to distinguish the quality of stone, and it is difficult to increase the added value of products. Generally speaking, China's stone industry is still in its infancy, with insufficient investment in technology, quality and service competition, low added value of products, and a large gap with foreign products of the same type. Fourth, the environmental protection pressure in the industry is severe. Recently, the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” energy conservation and environmental protection industry development plan will be introduced soon, which imposes strict requirements on pollutant emission reduction and environmental quality improvement. As the stone industry in Fujian Province is still in the primary production stage, many stone small enterprises are backward in technical equipment, and they are seriously wasted in the exploitation and utilization of stone materials. They are still in the extensive level of processing, and there are phenomena such as running, running and overflowing of production wastewater. Serious Problem. Some stone enterprises use dyeing board technology with serious pollution, and there is no corresponding environmental protection measures. For the time being, China's current product standards for natural granite building panels use the JC, 205-92 "natural granite stone building panels" building materials industry standards implemented in 1992, nearly two decades ago. However, with the development of science and technology, the upgrading of equipment, the strict requirements of the decoration industry, and the integration of international practices, the current standards need to be revised and improved. At present, due to the insufficiency of the stone industry system and the non-standard professional standards, there is still a disorderly competition among stone enterprises, mutual price reduction and shoddy phenomenon, which restricts the healthy development of the industry. To this end: First, the relevant departments should formulate new industry standards as soon as possible, improve the entry barriers for export enterprises, and support the encouragement of stone enterprises to take the path of joint development, industrialization and specialization while vigorously promoting industrial upgrading; Second, industry associations should track and feedback international market changes and price trends in a timely manner, give full play to the role of the industry's guiding services, guide the healthy and stable development of the entire industry, and effectively respond to trade barriers; third, enterprises should seek market for their own development and strengthen their own management.
